The P320 is not actually much of a new design. It is basically just a P250 with the hammer system removed and a striker thrown in instead. It was a rushed slapdash design IMO. Sig wanted to keep as many parts the same for cost and manufacturing reasons. They never bothered to change the trigger.

Yes- the p320 has been fixed, and it's been proven via testing on video. In addition, there's a complete absence on the internet of even a single complaint of an upgraded/post-production p320 firing when dropped, and there's an entire army of people who'd jump at the chance to prove Sig wrong- but the p320 is NOT failing.
This is a known issue with the with the P320 striker. It can be caused by dry or live fire, typically with high striker reset count. The issue was documented on the Sig Talk website previously (Sig Armorer bulletin reference Striker Return Springs). The tiny striker reset spring is easy to replace if you are fortunate to find them in stock online.
